Aashima Sharmaโ€™s room was a mess. Clothes, files, and random items were scattered everywhere as she rushed from one corner to another, stuffing things into her suitcase.

She had an early morning departure, and despite her best efforts, last-minute packing chaos was inevitable.

Just then, the door creaked open, and a woman in her late fifties stepped in. Her eyes widened at the sight of the room, but she let out a sigh instead of scolding.

โ€œBetu, ho gayi saari tayyari kal jaane ki?โ€(Sweetheart, have you packed everything for tomorrow?)her mother, Meera, asked.

โ€œJi, Mumma! Everythingโ€™s done, that too without any help!โ€Aashima said with a proud smirk, crossing her arms.

Meera raised an eyebrow.โ€œAcha? Have you kept the files required by the company?โ€

Aashimaโ€™s face fell as realization dawned.โ€œUh-oh...โ€She laughed awkwardly before dashing to the cupboard to retrieve them.

Meera shook her head.โ€œItni badi ho gayi hai, harkatein wahi hai 10 saal wali. Isse ache toh bache hain!โ€(Youโ€™ve grown up, but your habits are still like a 10-year-old. Even kids are better than this!)saying so she left her room.

Finally, with everything packed, she headed downstairs for dinner. Her parents and younger brother were already at the table when she arrived.

Without hesitation, she walked up to her brother and smacked him lightly on the forehead.

โ€œMumma!โ€Vivaan whined dramatically, rubbing his forehead.(โ€œMummaaa!โ€)

โ€œAashi, nahi!โ€Meera scolded.(โ€œAashi, donโ€™t!โ€)

Aashima raised her hands in surrender.โ€œTheek hai, theek hai! Pujyavar mata shree, nahi karti tang aapke bete ko.โ€She smirked.(โ€œFine, fine! Respected mother, I shall not trouble your beloved son.โ€)

Vivaan, her 19-year-old brother, barely waited for her to sit before he smirked.โ€œAcha hai aap kal ja rahi ho.โ€(Itโ€™s good that youโ€™re leaving tomorrow.)

Aashima rolled her eyes.โ€œHaan toh bas 1 saal ke liye.โ€(Yeah, but only for 1 year.)

Vivaan grinned.โ€œHaan toh jab wapas aaogi, weโ€™ll get you married. Simple.โ€(Yeah, and when you return, weโ€™ll get you married. Simple.)

โ€œShut up, Vivaanโ€, their father warned, though there was amusement in his voice.

Aashima just laughed, shaking her head before they all got back to enjoying their meal. It was her last night at home before leaving for Delhi, and she savored the warmth of her family around her.

โœจ๐๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐Ÿ•:๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐€๐Œโœจ

Dressed in a crisp white shirt, blue jeans, and a watch, Aashima gave herself one last look in the mirror before grabbing her bags. This was it. A new journey, a new beginning.

Her family stood at the doorstep, ready to bid her farewell. Standing at the doorstep, she took a deep breath, memorizing every detail of her home and family before stepping forward and pulling them into a tight hug.

โ€œKhayaal rakhna apna, beta.โ€Meera whispered, cupping her daughterโ€™s face gently.(โ€œTake care of yourself, beta.โ€)

โ€œMumma, please! Ab rona mat shuru kar dena!โ€Aashima laughed, blinking back her own emotions.(โ€œMumma, please, donโ€™t start crying now!โ€)

Vivaan smirked. โ€œJaldi jao, warna train chhut gayi toh phir yahi rukna padega!โ€(โ€œJust hurry up and leave. If you miss your train, youโ€™ll have to come back!โ€)

Rolling her eyes, Aashima pulled him into a hug.โ€œTum waise bhi mujhe roz text karke pareshaan karoge, toh farq hi kya padta hai?โ€(โ€œYouโ€™d haunt me with your constant texts anyway, so whatโ€™s the difference?โ€)

Her father placed a reassuring hand on her head.โ€œMehnat karo, beta. Aur hamesha yaad rakhna, naam kamaana hai and remember you are your papaโ€™s sherni and heโ€™ll always be there to support you.โ€(โ€œWork hard, beta. And always remember to make a name for yourself.โ€)

After long hugs and some emotional goodbyes, she settled into the taxi that would take her to Chandigarh, where sheโ€™d board a train to Delhi.

โœจ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฅ๐ก๐ขโœจ

The train ride from Chandigarh to Delhi felt different this time. She wasnโ€™t coming back for collegeโ€”this time, she was returning for her future, for her dreams.

As she stepped onto the bustling Delhi platform, a familiar voice called out to her.

โ€œAashiiii!โ€

She turned, smiling as she spotted Tanya, her best friend, waving excitedly.

โ€œTanya! Finally!โ€Aashima chuckled, pulling her into a warm hug.

โ€œFinally! Miss Sharma has arrived!โ€Tanya, her best friend and now flatmate, grinned as she pulled Aashima into a quick hug.

โ€œHaan haan, as if you werenโ€™t tracking my live location the whole time,โ€Aashima teased.

Tanya scoffed.โ€œObviously! Tujhe chhodti toh tu kisi corner mein bhatak rahi hoti.โ€(Obviously! If I left you alone, youโ€™d be wandering in some corner by now.)

They both laughed, dragging Aashimaโ€™s luggage toward a cab. The ride to their apartment was filled with chatter, mostly Tanya catching Aashima up on all the gossip she had missed.

โ€œBy the way,โ€Tanya began with a mischievous glint in her eyes,โ€œDo you know thereโ€™s this new businessman everyoneโ€™s talking about?. Heโ€™s young and super ambitious.โ€

Aashima raised an eyebrow, only half-interested.โ€œAnd whatโ€™s so special about him?โ€

Tanya smirked.โ€œI donโ€™t know, but thereโ€™s something about him. Mysterious types. Maybe heโ€™s your type?โ€

Aashima chuckled, shaking her head.โ€œPlease, Tanya. I have enough on my plate already. No time for mysteries.โ€

By the time they reached their apartment, exhaustion had fully settled in. After a quick dinner, Aashima video-called her family to assure them she had arrived safely.

โ€œSo, whatโ€™s the plan? When do you officially start?โ€Tanya asked, stretching on the couch.

โ€œI have two days before work starts, so tomorrow, weโ€™re going shopping. I need new clothes, and I still have to set up my room.โ€

โ€œSounds like a plan! But for now, sleep. You look like youโ€™re about to pass out.โ€

Smiling, after unpacking, she made herself comfortable in her new room and lay back on her bed, staring at the ceiling.

A new city, a new life, and a dream to chase.

โ€œLittle did she know, the mystery man was about to turn her world upside down.โ€
